Horton Commercial Refrigeration was started by Jack Horton, Sr. in 1964. Mr. Horton, an electrical engineer, saw a need for sales and service of commercial ice makers. He established a business in Greenville, Texas, and was soon in demand across Northeast Texas.

His son, Jack Horton, Jr., joined him in the business in 1980. His skill in the installation of refrigeration systems helped to develop the company's reputation for reliable and efficient installation as competitive prices.

Pam Freeman is our Service Manager/Bookkeeper. Pam was a Corporate and Association Meeting Planner for 12 years before moving from Dallas to Greenville. She worked for Meeting Professionals International and Parker College of Chiropractic where she traveled extensively planning Corporate and Association conferences and conventions. She has an accounting background with an emphasis on customer service in every position she has held.  She is in charge of the service calls and dispatching of our service technicians. She handles the accounts receivables and payroll and orders all our materials. Pam is always eager to help whenever she can. Call her with any questions that you may have in regards to your account.

Our Senior Service Technician is Roger McCracken. Roger relocated to the Greenville area from Azle, Texas, and has over 28 years experience in commercial refrigeration. Roger’s extensive experience ranges from large grocery store rack systems to small under counter food service refrigeration systems and all types of ice makers; this makes him an asset to Horton Commercial Refrigeration, Inc. Roger attends several ice-makers training classes throughout the year to stay current on all the various changers going on with the new technologies in ice-making equipment.

James Kuhn is our Lead Supervisor.  James has been with Horton for 20 years.  His expertise is in walk-in and refrigeration installation.  He is the perfect match with Horton with his attention to detail and his perfectionism. James doesn't leave till it's perfect. The installation of Walk-ins cooler and freezers is one of the most important aspects of Horton’s business.  James’ personality and dedication keeps Horton’s return visits to our customers to almost 0.  We will continue to grow with our Lead Supervisor and those who work with James in the field.  We are happy to have one of the best in the industry working with us.

David Starits has been with Horton since 2006. Dave moved to Greenville from Iowa.  He has been involved with commercial refrigeration since 1976.  His expertise in the refrigeration industry makes his knowledge invaluable.  Dave’s experience has spanned 30 years and he has worked on such projects involving rack systems, walk-in installation and blast freezers.  He also carries a Refrigeration license and does service work on a varied schedule.  We are happy to have Dave as our Assistant Supervisor in the field.
